Three Station Headrest Static Strength

This test measures the rearward angular displacement of the occupant’s head relative to the displaced torso line. All the specified loads and moments to the back(s) and head form(s) as required by the standards or regulations are created by this test.

This test is used to measure impact protection for occupants. The test simulates the pitching forward of a rear seat occupant during a frontal impact and the contacting of the front seat rear surface or other interior protrusions.

This test is used to measure impact protection for occupants. The test simulates a seat occupants head pitching rearward into the front surface of the occupied seat during a rear impact. Deceleration vs. time data is collected from the impact to determine the 3 msec clip and HIC values.

This tests seat belt anchorage pull meaning any component, other than the webbing or straps, involved in transferring seatbelt loads to the vehicle structure, including but not limited to, the attachment hardware, seat frames, seat pedestals, the vehicle structure itself and any part of the vehicle whose failure causes separation of the belt from the vehicle structure. Our machine is capable of operating eight cylinders simultaneously or individually.

This test is used to evaluate the integrity of the total seat frame and its components. It is performed on a four cylinder machine with a maximum pulling capacity of 500 lbs. The cylinders are programmable to allow full control over desired loads, ramp time and load hold times.

Sequential Variable Load Fatigue

This tests most unique attribute is our machines ability to input numerous fatigue parameters in a sequential or variable sequential fatigue mode. Each cylinder is fitted with a push/pull type 500 lbs. Load cell. The cylinders can be fitted with various test apparatus (i.e. back form, head form, butt form, etc.) to fit a customer’s specific needs.

This test is used to evaluate the wear of the seats trim cover material and foam pads upon entering and exiting the vehicle. Our machine is capable of moving in three axis at one time while rotating and moving its legs up and down. It can be fitted with an AM 50 percentile butt form or a Hybrid III mannequin’s buttock and thighs.
